to animals in Maryland is now a FELONY
punishable by a fine not to exceed $5,000 or by imprisonment
not to exceed three (3) years or both. Failure to provide
nutritious food in sufficient quantity, necessary veterinary
care, proper drink, air, space, shelter or protection from
the weather also constitutes cruelty to animals.
